28 Exceptional Students Utilize Scholarships from Community Leaders
This fall, Cobalt Mortgage Dollars for Scholars distributed $39,500.00 in scholarship awards to 28 students pursuing post-secondary education. These scholarships were distributed to students living in the western United States from Washington to Arizona. This is the second year that Cobalt Mortgage Dollars for Scholars has awarded scholarships. In 2011, they benefited 26 students with awards totaling $26,000.00.
College education goals are being reached through partnerships between community leaders and Cobalt Mortgage Dollars for Scholars, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. With funds to offset rising tuition costs, scholars received the support of caring individuals and companies. Below is a list of this fall’s scholarships.

On October 15, 2012, Cobalt Mortgage Dollars for Scholars launched the 2012 fund drive, raising money for scholarships to be awarded in the spring of 2013. Scholarship funds will be accepted until December 15, 2012. Parties interested in becoming a donor partner by creating a named scholarship should contact their local Cobalt Mortgage branch office.
Student applications for these scholarships will be available online beginning on February 1, 2013. All scholarships and their associated donor developed criteria will be posted on the scholarship website https://cobaltscholarships.academicworks.com/.
